This easy, no-knead recipe takes you from dry ingredients to a warm, freshly baked loaf in under an hour - no additives, no fuss, just real, wholesome bread.

Ingredients

  • 500g strong flour (or 250g x wholemeal/strong)
  • 10g salt
  • 14g bicarbonate of soda
  • 55g sunflower seeds
  • 55g pumpkin seeds
  • 500ml buttermilk (or yoghurt)

Method

  • Step 1

    Rub together the dry ingredients in a bowl.

  • Step 2

    Add the buttermilk or yoghurt and fold together until all the dry ingredients are incorporated.

  • Step 3

    Remove from the bowl and roll it around in some dry flour to make it easier to handle.

  • Step 4

    Make 2 even sized loaves. Place baking parchment onto a baking tray and both loaves. Score an X across the top.

  • Step 5

    Bake in pre-heated oven at 225 degrees for 25 mins. Turn after 15 mins.
