This recipe is here because fast food doesn’t have to mean expensive food. A tortilla wrap, some tomato sauce and cheese can become a proper meal in under ten minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 tortilla wrap
  • 2–3 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 50 g grated cheese

Method

  • Step 1

Lay 1 tortilla wrap flat on a surface.

  • Step 2

Spread 2 -3 tbsp of tomato sauce, pizza sauce or passata over one half of the wrap.

  • Step 3

Sprinkle over 50 g grated cheese.

  • Step 4

Fold the two sides in and bottom 1/3 upwards to create a pocket, then press the edges firmly to seal.

  • Step 5

    Place into the air fryer.

  • Step 6

Air fry at 200°C for 6–8 minutes until crisp and golden with melted filling inside.

Tips

  • Best eaten fresh.
  • Beyond the speed, this is a technique worth learning: how the air fryer creates crispness without oil, and how folding and sealing the wrap before cooking keeps everything inside. Once you’re comfortable with the method, you can vary the fillings endlessly using leftovers or whatever you have in the fridge.
